fAIshion Virtual Try-On Website Redesign
As the UI/UX Designer for this project, I led the complete redesign of an AI virtual try-on company’s official website.

fAIshion.ai Website: The Problem
The original website failed to communicate the company’s value as an AI-driven virtual try-on platform.
Visually, it lacked consistency — color choices were unbalanced, typography hierarchy was unclear, and the layout felt outdated.
From a UX perspective, users couldn’t quickly understand what the product actually did or how it differed from competitors. The content focused too much on general descriptions instead of showcasing the AI core and real try-on experience.
As a result, visitors often left after viewing just one section, and potential partners found it difficult to trust the product’s technological credibility.

Our solution was to reposition the website as a product-centered experience that clearly communicates the company’s AI technology and builds user trust.
I focused on redesigning both the visual identity and the information hierarchy to align with the company’s positioning as a modern, intelligent, and reliable AI brand.
This included:
-
Establishing a clear visual hierarchy with consistent color usage, balanced whitespace, and professional typography to convey credibility.
-
Highlighting the AI try-on process through simplified storytelling, motion cues, and before–after imagery that visually explains how the product works.
-
Streamlining the site architecture to guide users from curiosity to conversion — helping them quickly understand the value, explore the demo, and request integration.

Understanding What Prevented Trust and Conversion
Before starting the redesign, I conducted a series of research activities to uncover why users failed to understand or trust the original AI try-on product.
We analyzed user behavior, bounce rates, and interaction data to identify weak points in clarity, usability, and brand credibility.
I collaborated with the stakeholder and marketing teams to pinpoint issues from both user-facing and technical perspectives — revealing that most visitors didn’t understand the product’s capabilities or how the AI technology worked.

Through the competitive analysis, I found that many AI fashion platforms have already established strong visual direction and professional brand credibility.
They effectively communicate innovation through clean layouts, elegant typography, and lifestyle imagery, providing a trustworthy impression of AI technology.
Building on these strengths, our goal was to push the visual storytelling further by emphasizing the core Virtual Try-On experience — making the technology feel more tangible, interactive, and emotionally engaging for users.

02 Synthesis
A Clearer Focus, A Stronger Vision
From the research and competitive analysis, several key insights emerged:
-
Many AI fashion platforms already demonstrate strong visuals but struggle to clearly express their core technology, users can’t immediately understand how the AI try-on works.
-
The original website lacked focus, mixing B2B and user-oriented content without highlighting the product’s true value.
-
Visual style and structure felt generic, failing to represent the innovation and sophistication behind the AI system.
-
There was limited emotional engagement, making the technology appear distant rather than empowering or approachable.

03 Ideation
Defining a Clear and Trustworthy Identity
I explored multiple ways to highlight the AI Virtual Try-On technology while keeping the user journey simple, intuitive, and visually inspiring.
The goal was to help visitors quickly understand what the product does, how it works, and why they can trust it, all within a refined and fashion-oriented interface.
Ideation
By exploring different site architectures and visual approaches, I brainstormed multiple ways to make the Fashion AI website feel both innovative and credible — reflecting the cutting-edge nature of Virtual Try-On technology while maintaining a clean, trustworthy brand tone.
Some early directions included:
-
Designing interactive product try-on sections that visually demonstrate the AI process.
-
Using fashion-focused motion cues and transitions to enhance engagement without clutter.
-
Creating separate entry points for individual shoppers, fashion brands, and investors.
-
Exploring minimal yet elegant color palettes to balance technology and style.
Early Ideas
1. Interactive Try-On Preview
A homepage feature that allows users to upload or select a model photo to instantly visualize AI-generated outfit results, providing a hands-on experience that builds trust and curiosity.
2. Split Audience Flow
Separate navigation paths for individual users and B2B clients, ensuring tailored messaging — from "how it works" for consumers to "integration API" for partners.
3. Storytelling Through Process
Designing motion-based storytelling that walks visitors through each AI stage — detection, fitting, rendering — making the invisible technology feel accessible and impressive.
Selected Idea — Interactive Game-First Website
The final concept centered on positioning the AI try-on experience as the hero of the site.
By combining real outfit transformations, minimal motion design, and clear explanatory visuals, the website now directly demonstrates the product’s core strength — AI that helps users see themselves differently.
This approach transforms complex technology into an approachable narrative — inviting users to experiment, helping brands envision partnerships, and reinforcing the credibility of Fashion AI’s innovation.
I built an AI-centered component system designed for Fashion AI’s three audiences — individual users, fashion brands, and investors.
Each module focuses on a specific story within the try-on experience, with adaptive variants for different content types and device contexts.

Moodboard: Establishing a Playful Visual Language
-
To define the visual direction, I collected references from leading fashion-tech platforms and high-end e-commerce websites that successfully merge innovation with elegance.
-
I explored how neutral tones, soft lighting, and clean typography could convey technological reliability while maintaining a fashionable, aspirational appeal.
-
The final direction combines minimal layouts, subtle motion effects, and natural skin-tone highlights, reflecting Fashion AI’s mission to make virtual try-on feel authentic, inclusive, and emotionally engaging — where technology enhances, not overshadows, style.

Users responded positively, but there was room to refine the experience.
I conducted usability review sessions with internal stakeholders and early visitors to evaluate the redesigned Fashion AI website. Overall, the team appreciated the more structured layout, improved visual consistency, and the refined color palette that conveyed a cleaner, more premium tone.
However, several key issues surfaced during feedback sessions:
-
Stakeholders preferred a more vibrant visual style, suggesting that the overall color palette could include richer highlights to better reflect fashion’s dynamic energy.
-
The Try-On section was not visually prominent enough, leading some users to overlook the core functionality of the product.
-
Information flow could be more intuitive, as some visitors wanted a clearer path from product explanation to demo interaction.
Iteration
Based on the feedback, I refined the layout by enhancing contrast and motion cues to highlight the Try-On section as the website’s core experience.
I also introduced subtle color accents and interactive transitions to make the visuals feel more lively while keeping the overall tone professional and trustworthy.

Outcome
The redesigned website successfully redefined Fashion AI’s brand identity, positioning it as a credible and forward-thinking fashion-tech platform.
After launch, website visits increased by over 45%, and average session duration grew by 30%, indicating stronger user engagement and clearer navigation flow.
Click-through rates on the Try-On demo section nearly doubled, showing that users now recognized it as the core feature of the product.
Internal stakeholders also noted that the new visual direction made the brand feel more polished and trustworthy — a foundation for upcoming partnerships and investor presentations.
The Experiences
This project deepened my understanding of how to communicate advanced technology through approachable and stylish design.
Collaborating closely with the product and marketing teams taught me how to balance brand storytelling, usability, and technical clarity, ensuring the platform speaks clearly to both fashion partners and everyday users.
Insight & Illustrations Improvement
I refined my UI/UX design process by creating component-based layouts in Figma for scalability and consistency.
